Graduate Student Transcript Information
All applicants to post-baccalaureate or graduate programs (e.g., master's degrees, teaching credentials, and certificates) are required to submit official transcripts in sealed envelopes from all colleges or universities previously attended each time they apply to CSUMB. Applicants should arrange to have official transcripts sent at the same time applications are submitted. Additionally, some programs may require separate copies of transcripts sent directly to their program office.
For the most current information regarding the status of your transcripts, please log into your CSUMB Applicant Dashboard.
Electronic Transcripts
Cal State Monterey Bay accepts electronic transcripts from the majority of colleges. Electronic transcripts are preferred and result in shorter processing times. Check to see a list of approved vendors to provide electronic transcripts.
When choosing a recipient for your electronic transcripts, please select California State University Monterey Bay from the list of your school's transcript ordering website. If the list of schools does not include our university, please use the email address admprocessing@csumb.edu.
Hard Copy Transcripts
Transcripts should be sent directly from the originating institution to the Office of Admissions; transcripts submitted by the student are acceptable if submitted in the original sealed envelope. Hard copy transcripts should be mailed to:

- Transcripts sent directly to parties other than the CSUMB Office of Admissions may not be accepted as meeting the official transcripts requirements for admission.
- Transcripts that include course work or transfer credit earned outside of the issuing institution are not sufficient evidence of course work taken and do not meet the transcript requirements for those outside institutions.
- Applicants that have previously attended CSUMB, do not need to submit official CSUMB transcripts when applying. However, official transcripts from all other institutions attended must be submitted to the Office of Admissions each time an application is submitted.
