Fabian Cruz-Ruiz, a former Student Assistant with the College of Business, posted an update on Linkedin recently about his academic journey. Fabian is a Business major with Accounting Concentration, minoring in Pre-Law. He expects to graduate in May 2024. He is certainly making the most of his CSUMB experience! Here's what Fabian shared in his Linkedin post –

"After completing my first two internships with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Deloitte, I had the opportunity to intern at the center of our nation’s democracy as a Congressional Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives. I had an excellent experience interning for the Office of Congressman Costa [CA-16].

As a first-generation student, I am thankful for the extraordinary opportunity that was made possible through my selection by the Panetta Institute of Public Policy."

Fabian went to North Salinas High School and Hartnell College before transferring to CSUMB in the fall of 2020. He is a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar and is active in TRIO Student Support Services, the College Assistance Migrant Program, and the Otter Buddy Program.
