Throughout this year’s Undergraduate Research Week, UROC hosted several events and workshops open to all CSUMB students to celebrate undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity at CSUMB. Workshops included scholarship and fellowship preparations, graduate school panels, professional headshots, and a research fair.
The week's events culminated in a Spring Showcase featuring research, scholarship, and creative activity. Along with other undergraduate students from various disciplines, two UROC Business Scholars had the opportunity to present their research projects in the showcase on Friday, April 21st.
Berenice Lemus (L), a UROC Apple scholar mentored by Dr. Shaowen Hua and Dr. Gary Schneider, presented her research on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) monitoring in accounting.
Angelica May Amita (R), an undergraduate McNair Scholar mentored by Dr. Jenny Lin, presented her research on Social Impacts of Co-Branding and Public Service Announcements Messaging.
"Undergraduate Research Week” was established by the U.S. House of Representatives on November 16, 2011, to be held for a week in April to promote and celebrate undergraduate research.
