Intellectual Property
CSUMB values academic freedom and the privilege to generate and disseminate new knowledge. The creation, dissemination and commercialization of written scholarly work or inventions is closely tied to the concept of ownership of “intellectual property.”
More information about how California State University views intellectual property rights (including copyright and patent issues) is located on the Chancellor’s Office website. Questions about intellectual property rights at CSUMB may be addressed to the Office of Graduate Studies and Research (research_dean@csumb.edu).
