Global Engagement

The International Programs Office strives to enrich opportunities for CSUMB's faculty and staff mobility as part of professional development at partner universities worldwide.

These opportunities include teaching, research, workshops, Fulbright, and/or other international fellowships.

Not only does the International Programs Office offers support and guidance for faculty and staff through the process, but the office aids in identifying resources and funding available to support initiatives and research in non-U.S. settings.

Germany

HfWU Nuertingen-Geislingen University - Visiting Professorship Program

Thanks to a generous donation by the Educational Foundation of Kreissparkasse (KSK) Esslingen-Nürtingen for Esslingen County, Nuertingen-Geislingen University will be able to offer a Visiting Professorship to our partner universities.

The program started in the winter semester 2013/2014 and will be running for 10 years. For more information, please contact Carola Staib.
CSU IP Resident Director - Italy

Each year, the CSU International Programs recruits faculty to serve as Resident Director for its program at the University of Florence and Accademia di Belle Arti Firenze. CSU IP International Faculty Seminar

The CSU IP International Faculty Seminars sponsored by the California State University through the Academic Council on International Programs (ACIP) are designed to provide international experiences for faculty of diverse disciplines from all CSU campuses. The mission of the CSU International Programs (CSU IP), a system-wide unit operating from within the CSU Chancellor's Office in Long Beach, is to develop intercultural communication skills and international understanding among CSU students and faculty. Fulbright U.S. scholar programs

The Fulbright U.S. scholar program offers nearly 470 teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries. Opportunities are available fo college and university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others. In addition to several new program models designed to meet the changing needs of U.S. academics and professionals, Fulbright is offering more opportunities for flexible, multi-country grants.

DAAD - Visiting Professorship (Germany)

This program serves to strengthen the internationalization of the educational experience for scholars, host institutions, and students by welcoming educators from North America to university campuses in Germany for guest lectureships. The advent of international degree programs, as well as the distinguished traditional curricula at German universities, Fachhochschulen, and arts colleges, provide myriad opportunities for professors from the United States to contribute their topical expertise and teaching methods.
