David A. Reichard

My work at CSUMB bridges history and legal studies. I serve as the campus pre-law advisor, supporting students seeking admission to law school and/or a career in the legal profession. As a historian, my recent scholarship has focused on late 20th century LGBTQ+ history. And, I have a deep interest in partnering with local communities--whether as an organizer of the LGBTQ History of Monterey County project (now housed in special collections at the CSUMB library) or through supporting student internships with local civil legal aid organizations. What inspires me the most are CSUMB students.
