Department of Health, Human Services and Public Policy
The Health, Human Services, and Public Policy Department prepares undergraduate students to serve and lead in health and human services careers. Our students are immersed in an innovative educational experience that encourages collaboration, provides real-world experiences and enhances leadership skills. In partnership with local organizations, our students use their skills to develop community-based projects that address complex social problems.
The mission of HHSPP is to educate future health and human services professionals, in order to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities. We accomplish this through an interdisciplinary approach to applied research, innovative pedagogy, and engaged scholarship. Driven by a commitment to equity, social justice, and ethical practice, we work collaboratively with community-based organizations and public agencies to support students in becoming effective leaders of social change.

Our Bachelor's Degree
The BS in Collaborative Health and Human Services (CHHS) is an interdisciplinary degree for students interested in health and human services career fields. Students gain experience in the disciplines of:

- Public health
- Social work
