Intellectual Curiosity

March 6, 2023

We start March by taking a closer look at the value of Intellectual Curiosity, the second core value of the nine core CSUMB values

“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” - Albert Einstein.

Intellectual curiosity, or curiosity quotient, is an enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Increasing your curiosity quotient, as described in the HBR article ‘Curiosity Is as Important as Intelligence,’ will benefit you by increasing your ability to navigate periods of ambiguity and supports an increase in knowledge gain.

This month we will explore the elements of intellectual curiosity and provide you with tools and resources to cultivate your curiosity.

Have we sparked a bit of curiosity? Check out the article, Curious? Wanting to learn more is key to career success by Maggie Wool for a more in-depth look at intellectual curiosity and how you can benefit from it.

Are you curious to see where you rank on the curiosity scale and be provided with short learning opportunities to help you improve? Complete this skill benchmark on Continuous Learning in SumTotal.
