Habitat Stewardship Project, Monterey Bay
Restoration and Education Program
Habitat Stewardship Project, Monterey Bay (HSP), formerly Return of the Natives, is a community and school based environmental education program dedicated to involving students (kindergarten through university) and the community in native habitat restoration in Monterey County, California.
Our mission is to bring nature closer to people, and people closer to nature through hands-on experiences in community-based habitat restoration and environmental education.
HSP has a busy Fall season. Join us in the fun by visiting our tentative calendar for events.
Please check back for updates and follow HSP on Instagram or Facebook for current news or contact our AmeriCorps VIP Fellow, Jeni Schmedding at jschmedding@csumb.edu for more information. Sign up for our monthly newsletter and receive a once-a-month email! You'll learn what volunteer opportunities for the month are available, what HSP has been up to, and how the previous month went for our organization.
Thank you to all our friends at HSP for your support! Please consider donating to our small non-profit.
