Citing Your Sources
Citation Generators and Citation Managers
Citation generators help you turn information about a source (e.g., article title, author) into a citation. Below is a selection of free citation generators. Remember, check your results.

Many of the Library's databases (OneSearch included) offer automatic citation formatting tools for APA, MLA and other citation styles. Look for a link or icon labeled "cite," "citation tools," "export citation," or something similar.
*Automatic citation tools are not usually 100% accurate—check your results carefully.
Citation Managers
For added citation features, use a citation manager. Our Citation Managers library guide helps users define, select, and utilize a variety of citation management tools with special emphasis on two popular free programs, Mendeley and Zotero.
