CSUMB Students

Borrowing library materials

Your current CSUMB ID card is required for borrowing all items from the Library. Items must be brought to the Circulation Desk for checkout. Some students may need to complete a library registration form.

Lending periods

Circulating Book Collection: CSUMB graduate and undergraduate students, post baccalaureate: 6 months

Videotape/DVD Collection: 30 days

Audio CD Collection: 30 days

Course Reserve Collection: 2 hours, 1 day, 3 days

Special Reserve Collection: 2 hours, 1 day, 3 days

Periodicals and Reference materials do not circulate.

Renewals

Course Reserves cannot be renewed. Under most circumstances stacks books may be renewed without being returned to the Library. To renew your library materials visit Renew Books and log in to your library account, call the Circulation Desk at 582-3733, or send an e-mail request to library_circulation@csumb.edu.

Holds/recalls

Holds/Recalls are not available.

If the book you need is checked out you can request the item through OneSearch. For details see Interlibrary Loan.

Borrowing responsibilities

Library cards are non-transferable. Abuse of library privileges may result in loss of borrowing privileges. For more information visit our Library Conduct Policy.

Return of borrowed material

All items borrowed need to be returned when they are due to the library's circulation desk or book return bins. All items returned after the date are subject to fees established by the Overdue, Recall and Replacement Fees Policy.
