Physician Assistant Ranked #2 Best Health Care Job for 2022
U.S. News & World Report 2022 job rankings were released the top 100 best jobs in health care in January and declared Physician Assistant as the #2 best health care job of 2021. The also named Physician Assistant as #3 of the 100 Best Jobs. Among the incredible statistics behind this rewarding career, significant growth is expected in the future of the profession. "The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 31% employment growth for physician assistants between 2020 and 2030. In that period, an estimated 40,100 jobs should open up." (U.S News & World Report).

CSUMB MSPA Program Welcomes Inaugural Cohort
On January 7, 2019, the CSUMB Master of Science Physician Assistant program began classes at CSUMB @ North Salinas. The program welcomed the inaugural cohort of 32 students from the local tri-counties, throughout California, and 5 other states. Students were selected through a rigorous and holistic admissions process based on GPA, clinical experience, community service, PA shadowing, and other criteria. The inaugural cohort graduated in May 2021.
