Disaster Management

Disaster Management is one of the 6 tasks of the Ames Cooperative for Research in Earth Science and Technology (ARC-CREST) agreement, along with the CSUMB Educational Program Agriculture, Health, and Marine Applied Science; NASA-HQ Support; Terrestrial Ecosystem and Carbon Simulation Modeling; ; and Ecological Forecasting / NASA Earth Exchange (NEX). This tasks supports various efforts, including managing projects within the ASP-Wildfire Program; conducting research directed at lowering the cost of remote sensing using small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS);applied research and improvement of sensors and instruments for onboard manned and unmanned aircraft; and education and outreach activities supporting interns at NASA Ames Research Center.
