Dr. Judith E. Canner received her B.S. in Mathematics from Shippensburg University, PA, and her Ph.D. in Biomathematics and Zoology from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. She joined the Mathematics and Statistics Department at California State University, Monterey Bay where she serves as a Professor of Statistics and the Statistics Program Coordinator for the Statistics Minor and Statistics B.S. She is also a Board member of the California Alliance for Data Science Education. She teaches courses on modeling, data visualization, and design/analysis and her research areas include quantitative reasoning, education, ecology, psychology, and the health sciences. Her current professional interests include expanding access to statistics and data science education, data literacy, and data for good.
