Members of the First-Gen Forward Committee are tapping into the energy of Otter Thursday to celebrate National First-Generation Day, Nov. 9, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Otter Student Union main plaza. (The official day is Nov. 8.)

Students will be sharing the stories of their journeys as first-generation college-goers and encouraging others to do so as well. Activities will include crafts and thank-you cards. There will be music and refreshments.
