Fall 2023 NCBI Welcoming Diversity Workshop
Friday, March 3rd, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Otter Student Union, Room 210
The NCBI Welcoming Diversity Workshop is an ideal training for CSUMB students, staff, faculty and other campus community members who wish to develop their multicultural sensitivity, challenge the preconceived notions we were all taught about various groups of people, learn to be better allies, and take pride in their own complex identities and cultural affiliations. Student leaders and members of identity-group organizations including employee affinity groups are especially encouraged to register.
Email Steven Goings sgoings@csumb.edu for more information or accommodation requests.

Affinity Group Event/Awareness Form
Throughout the academic year, there are many events and awareness campaigns that celebrate diverse community that make up the CSUMB family such as Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15 - Oct 15), Black History Month (each February), Women's History Month (March) and many, many more. Please use this form to inform the greater CSUMB community about any events or awareness campaigns related to Heritage months, weeks and days that you are promoting.
The Oppression Decompression Hour
Whether it is worrying about loved-ones affected by the Russian war and invasion of Ukraine, outrage of over Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill, the vitriolic state of U.S. politics or just surviving racism and sexism day-to-day, we all need a place where we can vent about and heal from the stress and injustices of the world. If you are needing a place to be heard and supported without judgment on how you are affected by war and oppression join us Fridays at noon on Zoom. Dates can be confirmed with sgoings@csumb.edu
Historically Black Church Tour
