Academic Probation
For undergraduate students, if your cumulative grade point average in all college work or a cumulative grade point average at CSUMB falls below a C (2.0), you will be placed on academic probation.
For graduate students, if your cumulative grade point average falls below a B (3.0), you will be placed on Academic Probation.
You will be notified by the university if you are placed on Academic Probation, and given instructions on conditions for removal from probation and the circumstances that would lead to disqualification, should probation not be removed.
Some graduate programs have more rigorous standards requiring students to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better in all courses. For these programs, a graduate program coordinator may also notify a student of academic probation. Students should consult an advisor to determine their obligation.
