How to withdraw from a class after the drop deadline

After the last day of the Add/Drop period, you must complete a Withdrawal Request form. You will need to demonstrate and document serious and compelling reasons to withdraw from your course(s). Please note that your Instructor's signature(s) will be required.

All withdrawals are reviewed by University College and Graduate Studies and should be submitted to the Administration Building. Approved course withdrawals will show as a "W" on your record.

Undergraduate students can only withdraw from 18 units during the course of their studies at Cal State Monterey Bay. Approved course withdrawal for medical or military reasons will not count towards the 18 unit limit.
