Sign Up for Safe Zone Training
The purpose of CSUMB Safe Zone is to help build an inclusive and equitable campus community where all members of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions are welcomed, valued, and affirmed. Through an educational training experience and on-going learning opportunities, this program encourages participants to identify themselves as visible supporters of LGBTQ+ community at CSUMB. This program will strengthen students, faculty, and staff in bringing to life CSUMB's Vision of being a socially just community with a "substantive commitment to multilingual, multicultural, and gender-equitable learning."
Upon successful completion of the Safe Zone training, participants will receive:
- Official Safe Zone Pledge
- Official Safe Zone signage (window clings, stickers, buttons, etc.) to display in your office/classroom/etc.
Any CSUMB staff and faculty member is welcome to attend the training.

Student Safe Zone Registration
Apply for Student Safe Zone Fall 2021! Safe Zone is a four week training with a student cohort. The program is designed to provide students with practical tools for advocacy and explores LGBTQ+ identities, hxstory, inclusive practices, and pop culture. Attendance is mandatory for all Safe Zone training dates. Participants must be available and attend all of the following dates: October 1, October 8, October 22, and October 29 from 12:00-1:30 P.M.
