After getting a Master's degree I worked in research positions at MCC (Austin, Texas), the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science (Univ. of Edinburgh), and at Bell Labs Research, where I was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. I became a faculty member of the computer science department at CSUMB in 2015. My main current research interest is deep learning with brain data. In my career I've done research in program synthesis, formal methods, software verification, and computer security. Since moving to CSUMB I've also worked as a data science consultant.
