My research during my PhD focused on how to reorient deep learning inference for mobile applications. This considered how to use both on-device and in-cloud resources to adapt execution flow in a mobile-oriented manner. This work has a number of potential applications for ongoing research, including mental health screening, federated learning applications, and mobile sensing platforms.
