Shelby Scoggin
I am the Program Analyst for the Service Learning Institute. I have worked at CSUMB in various departments, including EOP (2019-2021), Financial Aid (2003-2005), and Admissions & Records (2001-2003). Before returning to CSUMB, I lived and worked in Sacramento, CA, and San Antonio, TX. Having lived in Monterey for the majority of my life, I am thrilled to be back working at CSUMB again. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Project Management with a concentration in information systems. My favorite hobbies are scuba diving, spending time with my puppy, and playing games with family and friends.

Social Justice Interest Areas / Social Justice Concerns:
I’m passionate about finding solutions to the climate crisis, ending animal cruelty, Veterans’ rights, and educational access for all who pursue higher education. In general, I feel everyone has the right and deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. However, we as a society are doomed to repeat the mistakes of previous generations if we don’t embrace the fundamental fact that we are better off learning from each other’s differences rather than fighting against them.
