Master of Social Work Program

In the early 2000s, a group of devoted community partners in California's Central Coast tri-county area promoted the development of the Master of Social Work at CSU Monterey Bay.

The MSW Program continues to prepare social work professional to serve the vulnerable and underserved populations in the area.

Since the first cohort in 2010, the program has graduated nearly 300 students. The MSW Program was awarded the maximum eight years of accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education.

Master of Social Work 10 Year Anniversary Celebration

The Master of Social Work Program celebrates its 10 year anniversary in 2020. The Department of Social Work intends to host a celebration when safety permits at the Salinas City Center also known as the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas, CA.
