LA PROMESA: CSET Prep Support for Current and Prospective College of Education Credential Candidates.

The College of Education, in partnership withDr. Bettye Saxon of AT&T and the Monterey County Office of Education, created the La Promesa: AT&T-CSUMB-MCOE HURDLE EXAM STUDENT SUPPORT FUND. The fund was established to support students from underrepresented backgrounds and/or those who are committed to teaching students from underrepresented backgrounds in enrolling in a 100-percent online CSET preparation support course. Students who take this CSET prep course have a high rate of success, and, by making this support available to current and prospective credential candidates, we are committed to removing this major hurdle to becoming a teacher. If interested in receiving this support, please fill out the application.

The cost for the online prep course is $100 per subject area (typically 3 subtests)/$40 per subtest.

Free online Math & Science CSET Prep

The Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI) at Fresno State will offer free, synchronous, online reviews of the content assessed on CSET: Mathematics Subtests I and II along with free, online CSET: Science Subtests I, II, and III (for all areas of science)

Out of State Graduate Students

Out-of-state students from western states are eligible for in-state tuition rates. We are a member of the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP). WRGP is a tuition-reciprocity arrangement coordinated through the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) that enables students from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, the Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI), the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), and Guam to enroll at CSUMB and pay the resident tuition rate, instead of the nonresident rate that an out-of-state student would normally pay.
