The benefits of cultivating mindfulness on wellness, strengthening connections with others, and learning are well documented. TLA supports Health and Wellness Services mindfulness programs for CSUMB students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
Meditation opportunities and other resources
Mindful Mondays meets weekly!
TLA is hosting weekly drop-in mindfulness/meditation sessions for our campus community every Monday. Sessions include silent and guided meditations and mindfulness exercises to help mitigate stress and support wellness. Everyone is welcome.

Friday Drop-In Meditation also meets weekly!
TLA is also offering weekly Friday Drop-in meditation sessions with various themes, readings, music, and both guided and open meditation--a weekly option for taking a breath and transitioning to the end of your week and weekend. Everyone is welcome.

Mindfulness Cooperatives for Faculty and Staff--Meet Weekly
TLA is also offering for Faculty and Staff:
a 4-wk Koru Basic course -- An introduction to mindfulness and meditation. Taught as a weekly, 75-minute class, over four weeks by one or more certified Koru Teachers. No experience is required.
a 4-wk Koru 2.0 course -- An “advanced” class for students who have completed Koru Basic and are eager for more mindfulness. This course also consists of weekly, 75-minute classes, taught over four weeks by one or more certified Koru Teachers.
a 4-wk Real Happiness Meditation cooperative for stress mitigation and self-compassion based on Sharon Salzberg’s Real Happiness: The Power of Meditation and other resources. No experience is required and drop-ins are welcome.

Koru Guided Meditation App for your use
The Koru Center (now known as the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults, or MIEA) is offering a self-guided meditation tool to everyone. Signing up will give you access to all the guided skills and meditations. SIGNUP: https://student.korumindfulness.org/self-guided-class.html

- You Should Meditate Every Day: Sure, it’s become a wellness fad. But it’s the best way I’ve found to keep digital monsters at bay.
- The 8 Minute Meditation: This is a very readable, simple, and practical approach to meditation. If you do not consider yourself to be the "meditating type," this book is for you. Request a free copy from TLA, while supplies last (email tla@csumb.edu).
