Upward Bound 12th graders, here you will find key dates and websites you can visit, to ensure you are on track with the college going process. August
The following opportunities open up for our Upward Bound students:

- The Common Application© (For students interested in private universities)
- American College Testing (ACT) registration opens [Contact advisor for further details]
- California Grant (CAL Grant) G. P. A. Verification Submission [Please refer to either your Upward Bound advisor or high school counselor for more information]
September
The following opportunities open up for Upward Bound students:
- Scholastic Assessment Testing (SAT) registration opens (Contact your Upward Bound Advisor for further details and supplemental support)
October
The following opportunities open up for Upward Bound students:
- California State University (CSU) Applications
- Educational Opportunities Program Applications (In conjunction with CSU Apps)
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Application
- California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
November
The following opportunities open up for Upward Bound students:
- CSU/UC Application submission begins (Due November 30)
- EOP Application submission begins (Due November 30th*)[Based on campus students are applying for. Please contact your Upward Bound Advisor for more information]
- California Community Colleges (CCC) Applications
December

- Early Decision Deadline for The Common Application©
- Upward Bound Staff is Out of Office from 12/25-12/29. Have a restful break and we will see you in the New Year!
January

- Upward Bound’s Annual Summer Residential Program Interest Form
- Continue checking your emails for updates
- Scholarship opportunities open up at the beginning of the year. Students, start looking into who your recommendations will be coming from

- CSU Admissions Update (Start logging in and setting up your student portals, and keep track of your To Do’s)
- Upward Bound Summer Residential Program Dual Enrollment paperwork (Please contact your Upward Bound Advisor for more information)
- QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program opens
- National TRIO Day Celebration (February 28th)
March

- FAFSA & CADAA Application due (Due March 2nd)
- CSU, Sacramento Campus Tour & State Capitol Tour (March 22nd)
- QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program application due (Due March 22nd)
- UC/CSU Notification of Admissions (By March 31st)[Continue checking your emails and student portals]
- Campus Housing Applications (Please contact your Upward Bound Advisor for supplemental support in the application process)

- National Decision Day (May 1st) [CCC/CSU/UC/The Common Application©]
- Please contact your Upward Bound Advisor for more information and support in submitting your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to your selected campus
- Upward Bound’s Annual Senior Banquet (May TBD)
June

- High School Graduation Ceremonies (Congratulations Graduating Class!)
July
The following opportunities open up for Upward Bound students:

- Final official transcripts, AP test scores, and IB examination results, to be sent to the respective campus Admissions offices for CSU/UC applicants (Deadlines vary by campus, please contact your Upward Bound Advisor for further details)
