Mentoring Resources and Links
Faculty mentors play a critical role in the undergraduate research experience. In fact, the student’s overall success in the program depends on an effective mentor-student relationship. The faculty mentor provides the undergraduate researcher with guidance regarding research activities, academic achievement, graduate education, and professional goals. The objective of this collaboration is to develop the undergraduate researcher’s confidence, research skills, and critical thinking abilities in order to succeed in their undergraduate career and in graduate school.
New CSUMB Faculty Mentors
A comprehensive resource was created by junior CSUMB faculty to provide guidance to new faculty as they start their own undergraduate research programs.
