In order to receive appropriate academic credits for military training, undergraduate veteran students should submit their official military transcript to the Office of Admissions for processing with their CSU application.
Basic Training/Boot Camp credits will clear the lower division General Education area E requirement. Order your military transcripts at the same time you order & send other college transcripts for Admissions processing.

It is your responsibility to inform the Student Veteran Services Office of any schedule changes immediately so that your benefit certification can be adjusted as necessary. Complete an UPDATE to your Certification Request in OASIS and then send an e-mail to Veteran_Services@csumb.edu confirming that you have updated your Certification request due to schedule changes.
Courses in which you receive a "W" or "NC" grade are considered "non-punitive". Your VA Certification for the term may need to be adjusted (remove course units for classes with 'W' or 'NC' grades). This may create a VA overpayment debt. Please contact Student Veteran Services for assistance as soon as you know you will receive a 'W' or 'NC' grade.
No. The VA will only pay for courses that meet outstanding requirements for your degree.
The VA is the "last-payer" when it comes to tuition and fee charges. This means that if you are the recipient of a "tuition-specific" scholarship, the scholarship must be applied to your account FIRST and only the remaining balance will be invoiced to the VA.
No. The Cal Vet Waiver only covers the state tuition fee charged during Fall & Spring semesters and Summer term. It is your responsibility to pay all other required extended education fees, campus fees, housing and meal plan and any bookstore charges on your student account.
YES, the Cal Vet Waiver cannot be applied to any fees for degree programs offered through CSUMB Extended Education (including Open University and ACE).
No. The Cal Vet Waiver only covers state tuition charges. Winter session courses are currently offered through Extended Education which does not charge "state tuition".
