Transfer Bridge
The EOP Transfer Bridge at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) is intended to facilitate the transition of incoming EOP transfer students from Community College to a four-year university setting. CSUMB's Transfer Bridge will provide a unique experience for new incoming transfer students to better understand their participation in EOP, the University as a whole, and begin engaging in career and/or post-graduation goals. Transfer Bridge has helped incoming transfer students get a great head start on their college experience at CSUMB. In addition, Transfer Bridge participants also connect to EOP advisors, Peer Mentors, university resources, staff, faculty, as well as other peers who become a support network!
Transfer Bridge dates
August 20, 2023 and August 22, 2023
Program goals:
- To facilitate students’ commitment and connection to California State University, Monterey Bay through meaningful interactions with students, instructors, Peer Mentors, and staff. Students will be introduced to EOP services, resources, and program requirements.
- To prepare EOP Transfer students for success at CSUMB by highlighting the differences between the community college experience and the academic expectations and workload of a four-year university. Students will be familiarized with CSUMB’s academic standards and introduced to key resources, support programs, and departments on campus.
- To introduce students to best practices for successfully managing virtual classes and course work at CSUMB.
