Office of Graduate Studies and Research

Cindy Juntunen, Associate Provost of Research and Dean of Graduate Studies

Welcome!

As Associate Provost for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, I am fully committed to ensuring the best possible education for graduate and professional students at California State Monterey Bay.  Graduate school is a wonderful, challenging, and engaging experience, designed to enhance both your intellectual creativity and your life skills.

We are fortunate to have a range of graduate programs at CSUMB.  They emphasize unique learning experiences, discipline-specific capstones, and individualized research and scholarship goals.  They also have several things in common:

  • Commitment to student achievement and success
  • Endorsement of the core principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Engaged faculty who are well-versed in research and practice

If you are a current CSUMB graduate student, I am delighted that you are here and stand ready to assist you in any way.  If you are exploring graduate school and thinking about what CSUMB can offer you, I hope you will reach out to our office or to the faculty director of your program to learn more.  I believe that we can offer every student on our campus an outstanding educational experience, and I would love to have you join the Otter raft!
