Main Campus

• Ensure your first payment for housing and meal plan is paid in full by first installment date before move in OR that your Financial Aid will cover your first payment in full
• Submit proof of vaccination or exemption using the Otter Vaccination Registry Please follow all Social Distance guidelines according to the CSUMB Guidelines. All residents are required to be vaccinated, or have an approved exemption, to move into housing. Those who are not fully vaccinated must continue to wear a mask and social distance
• Fully enroll in class courses 
• Plan your parking permits - You must have a valid parking permit for every vehicle during move in 
• Sign up for your move-in appointment! Information regarding Signing Up for your check in appointment will be sent by CSUMB email - so keep a look out!

East Campus 

• You will receive an email with information to set-up RentCafe account in order to make online rent payments. Pay prorated rent 
• Submit proof of vaccination or exemption using the Otter Vaccination Registry Please follow all Social Distance guidelines according to the CSUMB Guidelines. All residents are required to be vaccinated, or have an approved exemption, to move into housing. Those who are not fully vaccinated must continue to wear a mask and social distance
• Fully enroll in class courses 
• Plan your parking permits - You must have a valid parking permit for every vehicle during move in 

You will receive a Welcome Packet via Docusign email from Greystar. Packet must be completed online. If you have any questions contact Greystar at (831) 582-4811

Note: If you have not completed all of these items, you will not be able to receive your keys on the day of move in!

• Information regarding Signing Up for your check in appointment will be sent by email. Once received sign up for your appointment
• Check-In appointments will be available in 15 minutes increments on day of Move In
• Due to social distance guidelines, you must arrive during your time slot only. You only need to sign up for one time

Main Campus:

• Drive to the Parking Lot 59, located on Main Campus, at 7th Ave. and A St.
• If you are bringing a moving truck/trailer or multiple cars, additional vehicles will be guided to a waiting area. Large moving trucks and trailers are not permitted in Lot 59. The only vehicle that will proceed to the check in tables is the vehicle that you, the CSUMB resident, will be riding in. RVs and other large commercial vehicles are not permitted on campus.
• Have your CSUMB OtterCard and QR Code (above) ready

Pro Tip: Screenshot the QR code and save to your favorites for easy access on Move-In Day!

• You will see signs and staff directing you to the correct lane. Follow Lot 59 Move In Map
• Remain in the vehicle! Show staff your CSUMB OtterCard ID and have your QR code scanned
• Staff will hand you your keys in an envelope
• Proceed to your building to move into your new assignment! Welcome to campus!
• Follow Area Move In Map  signs located on campus to navigate to your specific area
• Students will proceed to designated area lot to unload belongings
• Enter designated lot
• Begin unloading your belongings, you will have 20 minutes to do so
• Once unloaded, car needs to be moved to Lot 71 immediately, at no point should the vehicle be left unattended
• Take belongings to your assigned room
• If borrowed, return cart back to parking lot

Please Note: we will have a limited amount of moving carts and there are no elevators available in this area. Please plan accordingly to bring additional moving supplies 

• When you arrive at your assignment, please inspect the space. Any damages should be noted on your ERCI via MyHousing. Watch this video to review instructions to complete your ERCI!
• Sit back, relax, and enjoy your new home!
